Over the last ten years of living on the area, I have spent time exploring and photographing in Haigh Woods, a wooded area that practically backs onto my home.
Over the last ten years of living on the area, I have spent time exploring and photographing in Haigh Woods, a wooded area that practically backs onto my home. Over the last few years, there have been various planning applications for housing put forward for the space, which were all met with large-scale objections from the local residents. During the pandemic, a number of these plans were pushed through, and now two large housing developments have begun initial work. These housing developments will create an even tighter ring around the woods, but essentially will leave the wood remaining. For Trespass, I aim document how these developments effect the ancient site of Haigh Woods and the surrounding area.

I have been following your project and commend you for taking the time to document it here on substack as well as get it out there in the physical world to share with other people in person instead of just "virtually". I personally believe that projects of any sort are what most photographers need to focus their work and grow in their art.
I also believe that physical manifestation of that art and presentation/interaction in person is not only good for the artist but society in general as we have all been somewhat conditioned over the recent decades to dehumanize our life and isolate ourselves physically. We are physical beings and need physical experiences with each other re re-humanize society, the best way to do that is through beauty and art.
