Thanks for considering! And now, onto our latest Article Roundup post!
Jörg M. Colberg’s latest essay on Conscientious focuses on João Paulo Serafim’s book, A Certain Idea of a Natural History.
There’s some fantastic photos in the latest edition of
’s Visual Journal series, this time featuring photos from around Hamburg! When there is not much time for an adventure in the woods, marshes or moors, I take my dog for a walk nearby where we live. The city of Hamburg is one of the greenest cities in Europe. It has a lot of green spaces like parks, gardens and beaches. Especially in the neighborhood I live. I can step outside my door and can be at the beach or in a park in under ten minutes. I am thankful for that. I couldn’t imagine living in a city, where I wouldn’t have these little green retreats nearby.
A great edition of @thomas pluck’s wide-ranging newsletter, opening on A Tale of Three Otters - The final otter being the legend below!
Otters are in the news. If you haven’t heard, Santa Cruz Otter 841 has been harassing California surfers and stealing their surfboards (and our hearts). She was born in captivity to a mother who was captured because she’d become too acclimated to humans—and apparently the otter doesn’t fall far from the tree. She’s climbing onto surfboards and taking them, which is adorable, until you remember the whole “we like to pair up and murder alligators” part.
Thanks for including me, Paul. Very much appreciated.
Thank you choosing my newsletter, and for introducing me to the other features! I love street photography...
